About our farm:

Our farm dates back to 1947.  When we first saw the property in 2001, there were many things we liked about the old, tired property that was overrun with debris and blackberries. The quaint farm house appealed to our desire to live simply, the many repairs it needed appealed to the "do-it-yourself"-er in us, and the terrific location appealed to the practical "mom" side of me that liked being close to just about everything while still having some property to enjoy our horses on.  The original house was never built as a "showcase" property with manicured grounds, but rather as a quaint and functional farm house with a lot of heart and character on the inside, which sums up the values of our family nicely.  It was meant to be.  We have been lovingly toiling on the place ever since, slowly guiding it along through it's "renaissance" to it's eventual renewal.

What to expect:

Happy faces! A good time enjoyed by all A great time riding!

What can you expect from a party at Renaissance Farms? A "down to Earth" experience on a working horse farm whose goal is to provide children with a safe and fun experience with horses and ponies.  We raise beautiful Paso Fino horses ("gaited" horses from Puerto Rico and Columbia) and provide beginning English riding lessons to children as young as age 4.  We also participate in a sport called Endurance Riding (think of marathons for horses), so our barn is always a very busy place!

Amenities:

60-ft. round corral with attractive wood rails for riding (no rusty metal round pens here)

♥  Rope swing

Two wood picnic tables inside our barn that seats 12 children comfortably, plus additional 5-ft round tables
available for additional seating if needed

5-ft folding tables for staging cake, drinks, presents, etc.

A "real" bathroom with toilet, sink, antibacterial soap and hand sanitizer. No "porta-potties"!

Plenty of hands-on education for the kids about grooming and handling ponies

♥  Lots of room for running, laughing and enjoying the fresh air!

With that said, I clearly recall my first experience on a "real horse" at the tender age of three!  I know firsthand how important a good first experience with a horse/pony is, and the memories can certainly last a lifetime. Making sure the kids have a wonderful and rewarding time here is my top priority. Most importantly, I hope my enthusiasm of horses & ponies is as contagious for them as it was for me when I was a kid. J

What are the benefits of having your next party at Renaissance Farms?

For starters, never having to worry about pink sherbet ice cream being ground into your new carpeting.  No extra garbage bags to haul out to the curb.  Not having to close your eyes when the stick that's supposed to be aiming at the Pinata comes too close to your beautiful hanging potted plants.  Never having to fret about finding that perfect place to hang your Pinata!  Not having to worry about a dozen fleet-footed school kids doing a number on your newly-planted sod.  Not having to wonder how long the toilet paper has been out in your guest bath.  Having your next party at Renaissance Farms?  Practically priceless.  J
