ARE GAITED HORSES SUITABLE FOR ENDURANCE RIDING?

CAN GAITED HORSES "GO THE DISTANCE"?

Gaited horses are quickly gaining in popularity with Endurance Riders. Many riders enjoy the natural athleticism many gaited horses possess; others better appreciate their smooth "gliding" gaits due to physical reasons such as a bad back or knees.  Better yet, they will choose a gaited horse for personal preference - because they're FUN to ride!

Whatever the reason, many gaited horses do very well in Endurance Riding and make the riding a breeze.  Whether you are interested in gaited horses, endurance riding or both, be sure to check out the links below that are dedicated to gaited horses who are out there "going the distance".

PNER'S ALL-GAITED ENDURANCE TEAMS!

There are two teams of endurance riders and their gaited horses who reside within PNER's boundaries for a little fun and healthy competition.  The teams are called the MasterGaiters and the Insta-Gaiters.  There are a couple of spaces available on the Insta-Gaiters team, so if you live in Oregon, Washington or Idaho and would like to learn more about our team, be sure to contact me at tracey@renaissancefarms.com .
